Best Exhaust All Around for the Blast!!!

Pros: Styled perfectly for the Blast. Great sound & power. Bike sounds bigger than it is.
Cons: Didn't receive correct mounting bolts. Leaked at muffler connection. (Perhaps was just my installation error)
The Bottom Line: Regardless of a few installation glitches, the appearance, sound, and performance of this exhaust exceeded my expectations. Even if other systems claim higher performance #'s, I'd still buy this one.

Purchased and installed this exhaust on 4/16/05. The main factor in buying (since I couldn't hear it first), was it's appearance. With the black matte finish, and dual muffler outlet, I was immediately drawn to how much it matched the bike. Once installed, I was even more convinced...there is no other available exhaust that looks better on this bike! I have to admit that HD (Buell) didn't send the appropriate mounting bolts, but a quick trip to a hardware store kept me moving through the installation. Buell decided to use hex key bolts on the OEM exhaust, which they claim work on the aftermarket without problems. I had to make due with using the mounting bolts with the OEM spacers (which the instructions said weren't required), and getting them in wasn't easy. Another bump in the installation was a leak around where the exhaust pipe couples to the split mufflers, but the end result was incredible. This bike ROARS now. Perhaps a more accurate term would be "THUMPS", but it has a distinct growl now, un-typcal of any thumper I have ever heard. There is a noticeable gain in the midrange, which in stock form, is relatively flat to redline. I have gotten many compliments on the bike's sound. The Blast is commonly used in motorcycle safety courses. I took one two weeks ago, and the instructor was stunned at how the aftermarket exhaust "tuned" the Blast's factory sound to one that makes the little thumper sound even bigger than it's single 500cc cylinder was.
