Pros: Great "transforming feature," accessories...
Cons: Buck teeth a little too pronounced...
The Bottom Line: "Cordelia Chase"...I'd chase her. Well worth the pursuit, if you ask me.

Ah, cheerleaders. You either love 'em or you hate 'em, or you secretly love them but resent them, so you say you hate them. That's pretty much been my relationship with them. Sunnydale High School has one pretty sweet cheerleader in Cordelia Chase. Completely stuck up, rich, not incredibly bright, and incredibly beautiful, Cordy is the quintessential cheerleader. But there's more to her than that, and she's one of the characters from "Buffy" and later "Angel" who changed the most over the course of her time in Sunnydale and L.A. I love her.
Now I just sound weird. Well, that's nothing new. Cordelia really became part of the "Scooby Gang" of Buffy's heroic allies during the second season of the series, and is now a part of Palisades Toys' second set of Buffy PALz figures. The stylized block figures are highly articulated, with joints at neck, waist, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, and ankles. Each figure comes with the pieces and accessories to be in two different "outfits"--in Cordy's case, that means a nice green dress that probably cost way too much and her Sunnydale High cheerleader outfit, complete with pom-poms and white sneakers. She's also got a gurney that she was strapped to in the Frankenstein-ish episode "Some Assembly Required."
The likeness to actress Charisma Carpenter is good--although her buck teeth are a little too pronounced to be a dead-on likeness. The hair, the general "attitude." the clothing are all great, and complete her look. The only other problem I have with this particular toy is that the one I picked up happens to have a paint rub on her left arm...I didn't notice it before I picked it up, but it's minor enough that it's not a big source of bugitude.
Like each of the figures in Series 2, she comes with a piece of the Judge: when you buy all six figures, you've built a monstrous demon hell-bent on taking over the world.
You can find the Buffy and X-Files PALz at Suncoast, Media Play, Sam Goody, and many many online stores. Look around, you'll find them--and this is a great time to get on board with the line. Series 3 will come out this fall, and will include fan favorites like Faith, Wesley Wyndham Pryce, Anya, and the Mayor.
