lukoi's Full Review: Buffy the Vampire Slayer - The Witch/ Never Kill A...
Plot Details: This opinion reveals everything about the movie's plot.
The Witch is the first episode where we see Buffy, Giles and the Slayerettes taking on something non vampire related.
Buffy tries out for the cheerleading squad, along with nasty Cordelia Chase, and one of the top girls bursts into flame. After some investigation, they find out that Willows friend Amy is a Witch who seems to hate all the cheerleaders. After a spell has been placed on Buffy, Giles and Buffy go to Amys house to find that Amy is actually trapped in the body of her mother, while her mother is in HER body. They banish Amys mother into a cheerleading statue and amy gets her own body back. Slayerettes save the day.
In Never Kill A Boy On The First Date, Owen is a mysteriously poetic young man that Buffy sees around school and has a major crush on. As she sets her sights on him, she finds that Cordelia has also, so she is delighted when Owen asks her out. But their first date is interrupted by Angel, which makes things awkward, and by Cordelia, which makes Buffy feel even worse. Then Buffy is needed at the morgue, where an unsuspecting Owen follows. A vampire rises, attacks Buffy and Owen, and knocks Owen out. Buffy ends up defeating the vamp (Duh!) and Owen gets a kick out of it all, thinking Buffy is like some action-packed-party girl. Buffy feels down that Owen likes her for all the wrong reasons and lets him down easy.
A funny, fairly sweet episode with some nice fight scenes.
