| wenke1's Full Review: Build-A-Bear Stuffed Bear |
While site seeing in St. Louis, MO a friend and I stopped in at the local mall to browse with our children. This is when we came across the Build the Bear Workshop. As we looked at the store front we saw many customers exiting with cardboard boxes in the shapes of houses. Looking inside of the houses, you could then see the stuffed animal peeking out. Laughing my friend and I decided we had to see what this was all about.
Entering:
Upon entering the store you are greeted by friendly store staff, they help to show you the process in bringing your stuffed animal to life. On the right hand side you will many shelves with the choices of animals you can pick from, and below them bins filled to the brim with your furry friends. Price ranges on these stuffed animals range from $10.00-$35.00. Which is not bad at all, when you compare it to stuffed animals you may find at like Toys R Us.Here is an example of the
varieties
of stuffed animals they offer.
1. Benegal Tiger
2. Panda Bear
3. Polar Bear
4. Bunnies- 3 Varieties
5. Cow

Bringing your friend to life:
After choosing that special stuffed animal your next stop is the stuffing station. Here you will see a large machine filled with cotton to fill your animals. The store clerk will ask you if you would like to have a sound in your animal (this does cost extra from $3-$10), with many to choose from some examples are.
1. I love you
2. Let me call you sweetheart
3. Create your own voice recording
4. Here comes the bride
5. Brahms Lullabye
6. Happy Birthday
7. Elephant
8. Monkey
After you have chosen your sound, the clerk will put your furry friend onto the stuffing machine to hold onto for you. Next you or your child will be asked to stand on the petal to start stuffing your friend. When you are all done stuffing your friend, you will pick out a heart to put into your animal (For St.Patrick's Day they also have Shamrocks instead of the hearts)then they put in the music box. Now before they sew your bear closed they ask you make a wish on your bear and close your eyes. When you are finished the clerk stitches up your animal and you are soon off to the fluff station. At the fluff station which looks like a big bath tub, your child stands on a petal and allows blow driers to fluff your animals furr up.

On the left hand wall of the store is every imaginable accessories and clothing you could ever dream of for your friend. Here is a small sample.
1. Hats
2. Pajamas

The store is brightly decorated, the staff is very friendly and helpful, and the prices are very, very reasonable.
