I have fair skin, but of course, being a red head that's to be expected. I have spent years trying to protect myself from major sunburns. For me, going to the beach can be a catastrophe if I'm not careful. After experiencing the worst sunburn of my life when I was younger, I went on a search for a sunscreen that worked. Fortunately, it only took me two tries before I found the Bullfrog line of sun care products. One of my favorites from their line is Bullfrog Quick Gel.
~*~Cost~*~
I purchased my 4 FL OZ/118.2mL bottle of Bullfrog Quick Gel at my local Wal-Mart for $5.69. This product as well as other Bullfrog products can be found at most discount stores and drug stores, varying in price.
~*~Product Description~*~
Bullfrog Quick Gel comes in a grey plastic bottle with a blue cap. The cap has a flip up spout for easy dispensing. There is a date of expiration on the back of the bottle, letting you know the best time to use it to get the full maximum benefits.
This is what Bullfrog says about their Bullfrog Quick Gel: "A revolutionary 8-hour waterproof sunblock which provides 36 times your skin's natural protection against sunburn."
Bullfrog Quick Gel has an SPF of 36 and provides protection against both UVA and UVB rays. This sunscreen also contains Aloe and Vitamin E to help nourish and condition the skin while it protects.
Bullfrog Quick Gel is a clear gel that when applied to the skin has a cooling affect. The gel is absorbed into the skin incredibly fast, which means that it dries very quickly. Bullfrog Quick Gel has a slightly strong scent when it's being applied, but, after application the scent fades.
Bullfrog Quick Gel is also sand resistant. This is no surprise of course since it dries so fast! This sunscreen also provides eight hours of waterproof protection. Bullfrog Quick Gel is PABA free.
Active Ingredients:
Octocrylene, Octyl Methoxycinnamate, Oxybenzone, Octyl Salicylate.
Other Ingredients:
Acrylates/Octylacrylamide Copolymer, Aloe Vera Extract, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Fragrance, Hydroxypropylcellulose, SD Alcohol 40, Tocopheryl Acetate.
Bullfrog Quick Gel is to be applied liberally to all exposed areas of the skin. It's dermatologist tested and even safe to use on sensitive areas such as the face. This sunscreen is not to be used on children under six months of age. Bullfrog Quick Gel can be washed off easily with soap and water.
~*~My Experience~*~
I have been using the Bullfrog sunscreen line for years. When we were planning a trip to the beach last year, I needed to pick up a bottle and that's how I came across Bullfrog Quick Gel. I wanted something that would provide me with ample protection as well as long lasting coverage. The fact that it was quick drying and sand resistant was just an added bonus for me.
Bullfrog Quick Gel really does dry fast. As soon as I applied it to my skin, I felt a cooling sensation, and as I rubbed, it literally absorbed and dried. I'm talking, a matter of seconds! I applied it liberally to my legs, arms and face and let my husband apply it to my back. The sunscreen left no greasy after feel on my skin or my husband's hands.
Thanks to Bullfrog Quick Gel I had a great time at the beach and didn't get sunburned! The waterproof formula worked, providing me with lasting coverage, no matter how long I stayed in the water. I now use this great sunscreen when I'm out working in the yard, or if I know I'm going to be exposed to the sun for long periods of time. Rinsing Bullfrog Quick Gel from my skin is easily done with soap and water.
I have experienced no skin irritations or allergic reactions to this product.
