Pros: 98.00% natural, reusable glass jar, improved Mom's dry skin. Does what is claims.
Cons: Feels greasy, looks greasy. I think it is only good for certain skin types.
The Bottom Line: I recommend this product because it helped my Mother's skin. I think it is a good product (other then the smell) but isn't meant for my oily skin.

| MagickCat's Full Review: Burts Bees Almond Milk Beewax Hand Creme |
I'm writing this review with two different perspectives in mind... no...not in the psychotic multi-personality way. (Its the voices day off...Shssshh!)
Instead I am reviewing by what my Mother and I experienced using Burt's Bees Almond and Milk Hand Creme.
Me oily, She dry. When skin types collide! :
My Mom has skin as dry as sandpaper; I'm often tempted to loan her out to construction sites. While I on the other hand, have skin that could out slick many a ocean tanker. Ye-har!
She loves this hand creme; I just want it off my skin.
What's the scents of it all:
The only reason we bought Burts Bees Almond hand creme was for the Almond fragrance. We had been at a Hotel and picked up a bottle of Almond hand creme (different brand) during one vacation and had really loved the smell. Unfortunately once the little sample was gone there was no replacing it with more of the same brand. We had looked everywhere for almond hand creme but there was none to be bought, so we had resorted to putting almond extract into generic hand cremes.
Then one day we both spotted Burt's Bees Almond Milk Hand Creme and decided to try it.
Upon opening the little glass jar, my Mother was very happy saying it smelt wonderful just like sweet almonds. This was a good sign I thought and went up to the jar to take a whiff, blah! Yuck! Gross!
Undeniably there is the smell of almonds, stale almonds that is. The creme was like that first thing after breaking the seal. The store had just got it in, so I assume it was a new shipment and the creme is supposed to smell like that.
Burts Bee's hand creme smells sweet, sickly sweet, syrupy and stale all at once. I don't know what almonds are supposed to smell like, but I do know the other almond creme didn't have a stale odor. I thought it was just me, so I chased my Dad around with the jar asking if it smelt musty. When he was finally too tired to run away and be manly, he agreed it had a stale stench.
A lot of people really like this smell, I guess I'm just not one of them.
The Creme
This hand creme isn't runny or liquid like a body lotion. It is pretty thick and reminds me of marzipan paste. It is basically colourless (off white) and soft to the touch. The nice thing about it being soft is you don't have to struggle to get it out of the jar like you do with some of the harder hand cremes. The jar itself is nice and hats off to Burt's Bees for putting a product in a reusable glass container and not plastic. The metal lid with cow graphic is cute and spins off and on without trouble.
Use sparingly
You apply a little of Burt's Bees Almond Milk Hand Creme with the tips of your finger. The off white paste comes out of the jar easily enough and then you have to work it into your hands. If you don't it just seems to sit there like youve just put Crisco on your body. I left a patch of this creme on my hand to see if it would absorb by itself, after 10 minutes all of it is still there.
Be sure not to use very much because it a small amount covers a large area of skin. It only took one fingertip to do both of my hands. My Mother uses more then that, but I think that is because of her skin type.
Effects of Marzipan Paste :
Burt's Bees Almond Milk Hand Creme is probably great for people with dry skin. My Mother says it is like putting a layer of silk on her skin, those are her exact words. I don't like it because it absorbs so slowly and makes my hands feel sticky and look greasy. When I put this hand cream on, I really have to fight myself not to go wash it off. It is not a sensation that I find pleasant and the creme makes my skin feel dirty. When I try to wash it off, it feels like the water is beading off my hands. I usually like Burt's Bees products but with sweaty hands and oily skin, this is not the one for me.
With Mom it is a completely different story. After a few months of using Burt's Bees Almond Milk Hand Creme Mom's hands really have become softer and smoother. She is endlessly recommending it to her friends at the hospital who work with their hands under harsh conditions and she is pleased with the results.
Burt's Bees Almond Milk Hand Creme lives up to it's label for softer and smoother hands .
