Pros: 1. SLS, SLES, and paraben free 2. Pleasant scent, not perfumey 3. Good lather
Cons: 1. Expensive
I am sensitive to Sodium lauryl/laureth sulfates (SLS and SLES) in shampoos and soaps so I tried Burt's Bees Very Volumizing Pomegranate and Soy Shampoo because it is SLS, SLES, and paraben free. It is rather expensive at $7.99 for a 12 ounce bottle at Target.
This 97.2% natural shampoo has a light pleasant scent that leaves your hair smelling clean, but not perfumed, all day. Out of the bottle, the shampoo has a thin consistency, similar to olive oil, so be careful to not dispense to much. It lathers very well for being SLS and SLES free, and leaves hair quite clean. As for it being volumizing, I can't really say. My hair is very thick and I could not tell any difference between this one and a normal shampoo.
If regular shampoos leave you itchy or with a rash, you should try this shampoo and see if it helps; it helped me. After using this shampoo several days my itchy scalp rash was completely gone and hasn't returned.
