I've been boarding for quite a few years now and I've come to learn the companies that provide the best equipment, and I've always relied on Burton for quality boots. I'm a pretty small chick and with my old boots, just a general lace up system were so tough for me to tie up, so I'd have to get my DAD to tie them for me! I've just recently bought the Burton Emeralds and the lacing system is ridiculously easy and I can tie them my self which is saying alot for my size haha. They have a great preset form inside the boot which is fantastic and your feet don't slide inside the boot. They're not too stiff, they have pretty good flex and walking up and down the stairs is a total breeze. They have quite a few easy steps when you tie them up, but they're smart and quick.In the past I've used boots that have torn and shred so easily and holes developed where water and I'd get cold and wet feet. These boots have been able to withstand me so far and show no sign of wearing down or giving up! I do know of some cases where people rest their boards on their free foot while going up the chairlift, I recommend not doing this because these boots have very thin and sensitive laces, if your edges are sharp enough they will cut the laces and you'll have to go through a hassel of getting new ones. I wear my Emeralds at home all the time, I'd easily buy five pairs and wear them 24/7. I've never been this impressed with a pair of snowboard boots and I definitely recommend every woman buys the Burton Emeralds!
