| VwGUYvW's Full Review: Burton Floater |
I have been snowboarding for 4 years and in those 4 years I have tried many different boards. But the one board I just did not want let go is the 1999 Burton floater. I have been riding the floater for 1 year now. It gives me every thing I want from a board. The floater is wide enough that I get no toe drag when I go to lay out a turn. But there is enough side cut that you can still jump form edge to edge. I would recommend this board to any one that has a size 11 foot or bigger. Not only does the floater give you a better turn, but it floats too, you will able to catch some very nice air from this board. If you are riding in powder the floater is what you want strapped to your feet. You can feel the board floating on top making it easier to ride the real deep stuff. I suggest that everyone out there riding the powder or have those big feet that are always getting in the way to try out a floater, you will not regret it.
If you do a lot of freestyle work like me, then the wide base is very nice for providing a stable landing. This is one of the main reasons that I chose this board over the Burton Canyon. Just some things to think about.
