Pros: great for powder, good overall ride, sizes from 153 to 167 available
Cons: not as light as the FL, turning isn't optimal

| telebear's Full Review: Burton Floater |
Another entry in the growing category of wide boards. I've ridden this board as well as the K2 Fatbob and I think that the Floater gives a slighter better ride. I used this board while in Utah after there was a huge dumping of powder. I have to say that the wide board gave a pretty good ride in the deep powder.
I rode a 163 and it was great for carving down the mountain. It's not too stiff and just gives a good overall feel.
As I mentioned in my Fatbob article, you don't necessarily want a wide board, although many people really like them because they say that they feel more stable. I personally haven't noticed this, but still think that this is the best board that I have rented (I own an FL, which is just awesome) and give it a big thumbs up.
