Thanks for the Comment. Seeing that you're a snowboarder yourself, I can sypmathise when I read other people's reviews and feel like it should have said more. Well, to answer your questions, basically from paragraph #3 down, it's all personal experience (demos). I also got opinions from other colleagues who are unbiased in their thoughts. ie. Aren't sponsored or work for some magazine where upsetting an advertiser would be bad. I did say in a round about way that I do not own a pair. ie. "It’s mainly their price which deters me from considering getting a pair for myself." It was a pretty long review too. Maybe give it a re-read? A lot can be said in one sentence.
I look forward to reading more of your own snowboard related reviews. In your one of your reviews, you said you're an advanced beginner. How's your riding coming now? Feel free to email me. Keep on shreddin'.

What's your experience with the SI-X? (Reply to this comment)
by nghiemr
Very detailed review, but since you say you use conventional bindings, do you own, or have you even tried these SI-X's? There's no indication in your review that you have...but lots of technical, standard info that I could also find at the Burton catalog/website. More personal, hands-on detail about the SI-X's would have been more helpful to me.
