So, I ventured into the shower and gave it a shot.

First of all, it smells really good. Yes, it does smell like oranges. This stems from the fact that there is orange oil in it and also from the fact that avocados don't smell like anything. The smell isn't overwhelming and once you put it in your hair you can't smell it at all. I found the smell pleasant and refreshing.

The aluminum tube is kind of annoying. It's hard to hold and hard to push on with wet hands.

Here is the problem I think the problem the people who came out with greaseball heads ran into: once it is in your hair you CAN'T FEEL IT. It doesn't feel like most conditioners where you KNOW it's there and can therefore judge how much to use. YOU WON'T FEEL IT, SO DON'T USE MORE THAN IT SAYS. I put about a tablespoon into my palm, rubbed it on my head and then used a wide-toothed comb and combed it through. I then put a clip in my hair and clipped it up for the rest of my shower. After about ten minutes (yeah, I take really long showers), I shampooed my hair and conditioned it as normal.

I let my hair air-dry the first time around. I noticed that I didn't have as NEARLY as many fly-aways and my hair was shinier than normal, but not any softer than it normally is.

The second time I tried it I blow-dried it. I had even LESS fly-aways and it was even shinier than the first time. A word of advice for extra-shininess: rinse your hair with cold water!

Overall, I really like the product and will continue using it. I have very fine color-treated hair. Prior to using this I noticed some dryness in my hair (particularly in the ends) and this product seems to have revived them. It is expensive (I think I paid $11), but it seems like it will last a long time, since you don't have to use much to get good results. My warning: do not use more than it says on the tube!
