Pros: Very handy and well organized...smells teriffic, looks and feels good.
Cons: Can't think of any at all.
The Bottom Line: This deceptively small handbag is a dream to pack and carry. Finally, I really do know where everything is.

| bwestman's Full Review: Buxton Shoulder Leather Organizer |
I kept seeing the advertisements for the Buxton Over the Shoulder Organizer and I really wanted one. I expressed that desire at the end of every commercial. My husband kept saying "Well call and get yourself one!" but I never did. I checked online several times but I just couldn't bring myself to buy a purse I hadn't actually seen and pay shipping and handling on top of the $20 price. I just couldn't do it.
Then, one day while shopping Staples with my "Rewards bucks", I happened on the handbag in the store. I knew I wanted it and I had enough "Rewards Bucks" to buy it, so I did. And I am very pleased with it!
First of all, it is much smaller than I thought it would be. My first concern was that I had perhaps made a mistake and that I wouldn't be able to fit all my stuff into this little bag. But I plunged ahead. I emptied my current purse, which was full to the point that the zipper was strained and spread my stuff out.
Then I opened my Buxton organizer and began filling all the little nooks and crannies with my belongings. It all fit! I was amazed. The design consists of two interior main sections with a flap that overlaps and closes on the front with a magnetic "snap". Both interior sections have zippered sides which open up to allow the sections to expand. The overflap in the front has a zippered pocket on the outside and a zippered mesh pocket on the inside. Inside the larger main section, there are two pockets. These are relatively deep and one of them is pleated to expand.
In the smaller interior section, there is another mesh zippered pocket, another pleated pocket, a smaller flat pocket, and a multi-tiered pocket, which I assumes counts for several sections. I have few ink pens stuck in the top of this section, and the bottom portion, which is mesh, holds a pack of TicTacs.
On the outside of the purse, there is zippered section on the back, where I keep my wallet and keys, and special cell phone pouch on the base of the strap which is very handy for the phone.
The bag is very soft leather and, if you like that "leather smell", smells wonderful (I *do* like that leather smell). The smell is very strong right out of the package but dilutes after a day or two.
As I said, I was surprised at all the stuff I was able to pack into this little bitty bag. I have my wallet, keys, compact, pocket calendar, credit card holder, checkbook, 3 ink pens, TicTacs, an eye glass case, my iPod, Palm Pilot, eye drops, lip gloss, a small bottle of aspirin, a tube of chapstick, a roll of Sweet Tarts, company ID, a dozen or so HandiWipes, 2 USB Thumb drives, and 6 travel packs of Tums.
What's nicest of all is that I know all the contents of my pocketbook and I know exactly where all of it is. It's very easy to inventory and grab what you want. I really have enjoyed the placement of the cell phone pouch. My other purse had a compartment for the cell phone, but it was inside the purse and difficult to get the phone into and out of. This one is a velcro'd pouch that is simple to operate with one hand (so you can grab the phone while pushing the shopping cart or carrying bags in the other hand).
Overall, I love the feel and smell of the leather, I like the classy look of the bag, and I adore the way all my stuff now has a home. Not only that, but I can fit more in there if I need to. I haven't even opened up the sides of the main section to allow for expansion! I could get a paperback novel in there with all my belongings if I wanted one.

About Me: I am hopelessly impulsive. I admit it.
