This soup was such a disappointment. I've always been a Campbell's soup fan. Hubby is quite the chef and has spoiled me with his home made soups. I've dabbled in making my own soups too.
I still picked up a can of Campbell's for a quick hot lunch recently and decided to try a new flavor, the Won Ton soup. It was beyond tasteless. I even checked the instructions to make sure I hadn't done something wrong in adding a can of water to this. It was like having warmed water not soup.
There are pasta "won tons" in an odd shape in the soup. These were mealy, gummy, overcooked and filled with something more like dog food than anything recognizable. The filling was weird pinkish paste like material. The few bits of pink chicken ( I would think pork would have been more appropriate) in this were rubbery and there were flecks of soft green "vegetable" of some sort. The dogs liked the "won tons". They do not have discriminating tastebuds. One even eats Iguana poop.
There was nothing even vaguely reminiscent of anything Oriental going on here. No hint of Ginger, no taste of Soy, nothing. Seriously. Campbell's should be embarrassed. I'm sure they taste test their products but this one should have failed.
Ingredients; Chicken stock, chicken won ton water, enriched flour were the first three ingredients and the rest were additives too small to make out.
Instructions: Microwave covered in a microwaveable dish on High 2 1/2 minutes or ou can heat this on the stove if you want, stirring occasionally.
I must say if I had more of these I would probably return them. Even using them as a substitute for chicken stock is out of the question, no flavor.
So I would wholeheartedly say do not purchase this flavor. Don't turn your back on Campbell's though they have plenty of good soups.

It says satisfaction guaranteed so I called the number on the label. I felt they should know about a less than stellar product. The representative explained that this can may have gone through the cooking process too quickly and to the heating area explaining the gumminess of the won tons. She said this can should have been pulled.I sitll won't buy this flavor again. They will be sending me coupons for Campbell's, I'll buy the Cream of Mushroom, or Cream of Tomato instead.
