This Avalanche jersey absolutely buries the competition! I'm no huge hockey fan but I know jerseys well from my habits of collecting and selling them. You can see from my other epinions that I really like to try out new jerseys.

All that said, at the price this jersey is offered at it is truly one of the best products available in the sports apparel arena.

Durable:
All the seams on this jersey are heavily double stitched. The logos are all sewn in with the same method, and the name and numbers as well. This means that even after two or three seasons worth of washing nothing starts to unravel or come off.

Unlike many football jerseys nothing on this one is silk screened. That means you can dry it in the clothes dryer without damaging anything!

Didn't fade!
Maybe this goes under durability, but it's worth mentioning that the colors on this jersey are still vibrant even though I've worn it a number of times. It truly looks as good as it did the day I bought it.

Just like the pros:
The jersey is made to look just like the one worn by the Avalanche on the ice and it does. All the logos and text are exactly the same, right down to the Captain's "C" on the chest that is only worn by the most honored of players (Sakic is one!)

Warm...almost too warm:
Most hockey fans live in cold weather cities and manufacturer CCM hasn't forgotten that. The knit on this jersey is heavy to contain your body heat. If you happen to live in a warm environment as I do this will be a "dead of winter" clothes choice only.

Generously sized:
In my typical clothing choices I wear an XL. This jersey fits very loosely, not so much as to look bad, but I could certainly fit a set of pads under it to go to the amateur skate at the local hockey rink. It could probably take the beating to!

Overall:
At a typical offering price of $100.00 this is a great pick up. If you aren't familiar with hockey jerseys, compare this to the NFL Authentic Jerseys because it will last a ton of seasons and is really well made.

As for the player, Joe Sakic is well known and respected, and the Avalanche are a fun team to watch.

Everyone from casual fans to die hard puck heads will be proud to own this jersey!
