Pros:Item helps to judge the crust thickness and dimensions for both experienced and inexperienced bakers.
Cons:The forms could be stronger, a little thicker or made out of stainless steel.
The Bottom Line: If you like to bake pies, and want to take some of the guesswork out of the crusts, this item is for you!
When I moved to Delaware, twenty-five years ago, I was a young Mennonite housefrau that could spend all day and mess up a perfectly clean kitchen making two pies for a funeral, fund raiser or some other such thing for which I had foolishly volunteered. When I got to Delaware, I found my two "little" sisters, six and nine years my junior, turning out wonderful pies with seemingly little effort. I decided that I would learn to make pie somehow. Some way.

And so, I did. I found a never fail pie crust and set about learning the tricks of the trade. And for years, I made pies and they got to be easier and easier. The one thing that was always hard for me was getting even pie crusts. But one day I found "Perect-a-Crust" pie crust forms and it changed everything for me. I love rolling out my crusts to exact thickness and dimensions. I never have to worry that it is lopsided and will fit in one direction but not another. I have given away numerous sets of these -- even bought one on e-bay for a young friend a few weeks ago. I am so happy with the help given to me in the form of three plastic circles. The only thing that I wish is that someone would make them in stainless steel and maybe a fraction of an inch thicker. I have had a set that broke for me, and that isn't very handy, but because there are three rings, you can usually improvise.
