Ok, to be perfertely honest the title might have been a tid bit of an overstatement, but to say no you have to check it out yourself!
Who am I?
As you would know if you were to check my profile I live in Aurora Ontario. To many people this may seem quite insigificant since I am blabbering on about the CN Tower. For the uninformed thats about 20 minutes north of Toronto, and we still don't live in igloos yet! but hey, we do eat donnuts and watch hockey every Saturday night, eh?
Due to my proximity to that wonderful city Toronto I feel sorry for all those in the rest of the world you haven't been able to go to the CN Tower. Now don't get me wrong; DO Not plan a vacation around this! but don't pass it over either. Remember it is the World's yes the worlds highest free standing building.
About the Tower
Like I said the CN tower is the Worlds highest free standing building, and easily dominates the landscape around the city. The Tower is right downtown Toronto between the skydome and the metro convention center on Front Street, just north of Bremner Blvd.
Parking
The closest lot is the south lot of the Metro Toronto Convention Centre (enter off Lower Simcoe from Bremner Blvd or Lakeshore Blvd).
It is fully accessable by wheelchair and the nearest designated parking is at the SkyDome, with 50 reserved spaces. To make a reservation, you can call SkyDome Parking at (416) 341-3004.
The Glass Floor
Possibly the best part of the entire tower experience sucking up all you courage, ignoring every instinct in your body and walk out over one of the glass floors. Don't worry though, it might possibly be the safest and thickest part of the entire tower. Thier is definetly 6 inches of glass there. After a couple of times, admittedley its no biggy.
Or if you really want to be blown around you can go "outside" of the room aswell. To prevent suicide attempts they have it all messhed off, kind of disturbing to the view I might add.
Prices
Here are some the prices right from the official website. (www.cntower.ca).
Observation Experience
------------------------------------------------------------
Look Out + Glass Floor + Skypod (Taxes extra)
Adult (13-64) $22.49
Senior (65+) $20.49
Children (4-12) $17.49
Look Out + Glass Floor only
------------------------------------------------------------
Look Out + Glass Floor (Taxes extra)
Adult (13-64) $15.99
Senior (65+) $13.99
Children (4-12) $10.99
The Revolving Restaurant
Want to enjoy a great meal, or just a snack, and still see the area? Try visiting the 360 degree revolving restaurant at the top of the tower. You can enjoy view over the lake, the island airport, and a booming city.
Observation Deck
After grabbing a quick bite to eat head up, and I mean UP, to the observation deck. By far the highest and smallest viewing area that you can visit. From there I could see for miles and miles. When looking to the south you can just barely see "all the way, to the US of A" city of Buffalo.
Overall
Overall I would definately recommend that anyone passing through the area, or stopping to TO on the way up to Cottage Country pay a visit to a world class building.
