If you work a lot with text and numbers, you might see the advantage of having a monitor where you almost see the entire page in standing direction. This is possible with the 720 PV since it has a 90 degrees revolving monitor. And it isn’t as expensive as similar monitors.
CTX 720 PV differs from other monitors already at first sight – silver colored front, and gray back and foot.
This is a 17-inch monitor, and it measures 433 millimeters diagonal. The foot is stable, but the monitor can’t be raised or lowered. On the other hand it can be turned 90 degrees, in such a way that it is suitable for handling of text on upright pages. You have to install the software delivered if you are going to use this feature.
Connection is analog VGA, and the monitor has external power supply.
The menu is easy to use with direct access to the most important functions like contrast and light brilliance. It is of course buttons for navigation in the menu.
The monitor behaved exemplary concerning the positioning of the picture. The automatic setting has worked magnificent. It gives sharp text, and a perfect balanced picture without any unwanted pattern-effects (moiré).
If you are going to use the monitor for photo management, you should make sure you are sitting in a correct angle, especially in relation to the height. If not, the color representation will be wrong.
I bought this monitor because I wanted to get rid of the old, huge monitor I had. I haven’t experienced any problems yet. It has worked very well, and if you sit correct, it is superb on pictures to.
