I initially bought this cologne, Cubano Gold, as part of a promotion a few years back at perfume.com where I could get amounts of 5 different colognes for $5 each. Looking at the brands offered, I chose Fahrenheit for Men, Lamborghini, Vincent Van Gogh, P O Box and this scent, Cubano Gold.

I selected Cubano Gold because it was described as having citrus and woody elements. Well, I’ve always liked both, and so, since this arrived, it’s been one of my favorites. It is as good as it is billed.

The citrus is the most obvious component, and seems to be more orange than anything else. Other obvious elements include cinnamon and a floral component. The finish has a sweetness of vanilla and a woody component.

The thing I like about the scent is that it gives me the feeling of elegance and retro style. My personal style is retro for business, conservative, yet a little individualistic, with cuff links, suspenders, even a pocket watch once in a while. For performing, a little more quirky, a little less conservative, a little less retro, but still a personal style than has evolved from tradition.

I give myself 4 or 5 squirts in the morning and that lasts well for the business day. If I go out that evening, then I will give myself another set of squirts.

My wife likes this on me, too, as she does Fahrenheit, so that helps.

On balance, this is very versatile. Works at he office, works for performing and meeting people afterward, works during the day, works at night.

I recommend this highly.

It's readily available. Some web stores list it as "Cuba Gold" and are showing the same bottle and description. However, my bottle says "Cubano" and that's how I think of it.

Perfume.com still carries it as well, but now calls it "Cuba Gold". For $11 a bottle there, it's a REAL bargain. So, you can find it if you look.
