Pros: Lovely lemon aroma, fantastic at cleaning hands, doesn't irritate sensitive skin, moisturizes a little.
Cons: Regular price is too expensive.
We both love it. Honestly, it is probably one of my most favorite soaps ever and it should be considering its regular price. Still, C.O. Bigelow Lemon Hand Wash is fantastic. If memory serves, I believe my sister gave this to me for Christmas a couple years ago. I had it on my list of things I want but probably wont splurge on for myself. At $12 for a ten fluid ounce bottle, I knew I probably wouldnt be purchasing it for me any time soon.
Turns out it was one of the best gifts she has ever given me. It is a great smelling and wonderful working soap. And since hubby and I both enjoyed it so much, I did indulge by picking up another bottle last month. I couldnt resist. It was half price during Bath & Body Works clearance sales!
Whats so special about Lemon Hand Wash? For starters, the cute bottle is practical and pretty in an old-fashion way. It is a clear, rectangular, plastic container with a black pump top. BIGELOW is stamped into the sides of the bottle. The label is simple. It too has an old-time appeal with the C.O. Bigelow name on top, No 1142, Original Formulary next, the word Lemon scribbled across, then HAND WASH typed underneath. After that is a typed description of the product:

The pretty, pale, pearly yellow soap is heavenly scented. It has a yummy, creamy, fresh, lemon zest fragrance. It isnt a domineering scent but has a subtle strength. It is wonderful. This is one lovely aroma that hubby and I both enjoy. Plus, it lingers lightly on my hands after washing.
Speaking of washing, C.O. Bigelow Lemon Hand Wash does an outstanding job. The thick, soft formula lathers and cleans my hands well without irritating my sensitive skin. My hands feel smoother have a slight tingle to them right after rinsing the sweet suds away. Theres a wee bit of moisturizing too. It is excellent. Hubby agrees. He likes how hard it works on his hands when he has oil or dirt on them. He was pleasantly surprised how the gentle gel had such chutzpa.
Lemon Hand Wash is one that well buy again preferably on sale. It is available at Bath & Body Works brick & mortar locations and their internet store as well as the C.O. Bigelow website. We tried their mint hand soap too while visiting the store and am looking forward to buying that one also. Give them a try the next time you are in BBW. Im sure youll love it!
I was just washing my hands when I realized that I forgot to tell you that this soap lasts a good, long time. You don't really need a whole pump full at every washing. Sure, this makes C.O. Bigelow Lemon Hand Wash a better value but it still doesn't justify the $12 price tag in my mind.
