C-Line Sheet Protectors - Clearly a good choice!
Written: Mar 27 '07
Pros:easy to use, no ink transfer from paper to the protector, durable
Cons:they can have a glare from lighting, but it's easily fixed by moving slightly
The Bottom Line: Durable, quality, easy to use and a great price
C-Line sheet protectors are a very durable product and easy to use. If you are looking for sheet protectors that are quality, these are ones to consider!
Features
They are top loading, which makes it easier to insert items and I feel helps them hold the items better than a side load sheet protector.
They have a clear or transparent "pocket" in which to hold items.
They are reinforced along the binding edge making them stronger and helps prevent tears better than other sheet protectors that I have used.
They are acid-free and of archival quality to protect investments, pictures, news articles and other items that you value and want to protect.
They DO NOT transfer the ink from the printed items they store onto the plastic sheeting or pocket. This is a hassle with others that I have used in the past.
I use the standard version at work, not the heavy duty or stronger version and I find that these work perfectly to help keep items, training materials and highly referenced material safe and sound.
Another benefit is that these are already hole-punched, therefore you don't need a hole punch to store the items. Slip the items in the pocket and you can immediately put the protector into a 3-ring binder. It saves from having oodles of those little 'holes' falling out of the hold-punch and making a mess!
Cons
With this product, I cannot think of any cons as they have a longevity unlike some other protectors I have used in the past and they don't transfer ink onto the sleeve or pocket.
They are easy to use and are excellent quality.
About the only thing that might be a problem, depending on lighting around you and how you are holding the sheet, there could be some glare from the light reflecting back to you. That's easily resolved by shifting the position you hold the sheet.
Overall
I enjoy the quality, the durability and even the price. You can generally get a 100 count box for $8 to $10 in most stores. This is a better deal than the 50 count box, most times, as I usually am able to find the 50 count boxes for just under $6.
If you are looking for quality sheet protectors, you should consider this brand. They are long-lasting, good sheet protectors. If you have other questions about them, you can visit c-line.com for further information.
