| rebrosa's Full Review: Caesars Palace |
I love staying at Caesar's Palace. Whenever I am in Las Vegas, I usual stay with Caesar's (if they have room). In January 2000, I made a very grave mistake. I was unable to get a room at Caesar's; therefore, I stayed at HARRAH's which was a nightmare! I called Caesar's and explained my situation. Caesar's apologized profusely because they were unable to accommodate me for Sunday night, but made me a reservation for Monday and the remainder of my stay.
I informed reservations that I would be unable to check in until later in the evening (after 6pm). Reservations assured me that my late check-in would not be a problem. When checking in, the clerk expressed her apologies for my misgivings at the hands of HARRAH's hotel. Then she smiled... She said that she was giving me a $900 Player's suite for less than the rate that was quoted to me on the phone.
It was like getting a warm hug "hello" from an old friend. I started to cry. My trip had been so miserable at the hands of HARRAH's, that this small gesture of warmth was a little overwhelming.
She gave me directions, and a key to my hotel room. Wow... I opened the double doors finding myself surrounded by black marble. The living room was larger than my living room at home! From the living room, was a formal dinning room. In the bedroom was a Jacuzzi tub that was large enough to fit 10 people! The bed was wonderful. Firm and yet not too firm. The shower was also a steam room! I had found a safe, clean sanctuary that felt like home. It was the extreme opposite from the room I had checked out from, early that same morning, at the HARRAH's Hotel!
My luggage was promptly sent up and the bellman was so professional (unlike HARRAH's)! I ordered room service, not wanting to leave the room! Wow... the food was delicious!!! The prices were a little higher than HARRAH's but the portions were huge. Not to mention, the quality of the food! I would rather pay a little more and have delicious food, then pay less and have slop!
Each and every time I have stayed at Caesar's I have been treated like a VIP (no matter how much I pay for my room)! Caesar's staff has always been polite and warm, from the person who parks my car to the staff that greets me at the front desk! Caesar's staff verifies whether or not you are a guest in a room before allowing entrance to that room (unlike HARRAH's)!
After a grueling 3 days of business conventions, I enjoyed soaking in that big tub with jets, sipping a glass of wine. I looked out of my windows enjoying the view of the strip!
There is no place like Caesar's Palace! If exceptional food and service, safety, clean rooms, and warm and friendly staff is important to you, you need to stay at Caesar's Palace.
Caesar's is a home away from home!
