Hail, Caesar!
Written: Dec 21 '99
Pros:Location, location, location, excellent food, slot club offers good payback
Cons:Valet parking means a long wait, The tower rooms are a long walk to and from anywhere, too many tourists sightseeing in the casino, drink service is sporadic
Even Caesar didn't have this much luxury. The casino is dark and intimidating at first glance, but Caesar, Cleopatra, muscle bound gladiators and dancing girls touring the casino give it a much more relaxed atmosphere. The casino is quieter than most, but at night, the place rocks. Check out Cleopatra's Barge nightclub for a really different night out. The barge with Cleopatra on the bow actually moves while the DJ plays the tunes. Mist and fog settle on the water.
Sun lovers will love the pool complex. The series of pools landscaped with cedar trees and fountains make you think you are miles away from Las Vegas.
Caesars has wonderful food from the food court that edges the casino to the gourmet rooms. The Magical Empire is a blast for all ages and the food is gourmet.
Book a room in the new tower..pay for the upgrade or beg it out of the clerk at check in. You won't regret it. We were upgraded to a mini suite. WOW! It was a long hike, but worth it. His and her bathrooms connected by a glassed in shower that easily could fit 4 adults, a jacuzzi tub in her bathroom, heck, these two bathrooms are as big as most standard hotel rooms. Towels are so thick and soft and the toiletries are shaped like little columns.
Down the hallway is a bar with refrigerator, built in lit closets with a safe, huge bedroom with sofa, chairs, coffee table, desk and sitting area. Classy room, classy hotel.
Everyone should experience Caesars at least once. It's what you imagine Vegas should be.
