For a teenager in west LA, California Pizza Kitchen is the place to be. With about twenty locations in Southern California, there is usually one near by. If not there is always take-out taxi which delivers to your home, with a little bit of an extra charge, usually in about forty-five minutes. Unfortunately, there are a few places that don’t have CPK but luckily CPK ASAP is in many airport terminals. Such a popular restaurant, any day of the week, is packed with people because of the tantalizing menu. In particular, on weekends, it is nearly impossible to be seated without a wait. Open on weekends until 11pm and on week days at 10pm CPK never seems dull.
With such a variety on the menu, who could go wrong? A choice of twenty-seven different pizzas, salads, soup, appetizers, pastas, sandwiches, domesticated and imported beers and fine wines, and desserts; sometimes it is difficult to make a decision, but don’t hesitate to order more than one plate. The portions are of decent size, and half orders are available for some . Of course, for the kids, there is always the children’s menu. The menu consists of an assortment of kids-size pizzas, pastas like Mac and Cheese or Spaghetti with Meatballs, Ceasar Salads, and mouth-watering Brownie Sundaes.
Since I can remember, there has never been a dish I have disliked. From the Potato Leek Soup to the Tostada Pizza, you can’t just have one favorite. On top of an amazing menu, the employees of the restaurant are always pleasant. Every host and server is extremely kind, and try to make your dinner as peaceful and perfect as possible.
With all of the restaurants near my house, almost once a week I end up at California Pizza Kitchen. It is definitely one of my favorite places for dinner or lunch, and it is impossible to get tired with all of the choices it offers. As many of my friends say, "CPK is my temple!"
