Pros: head weight, grips, price, and the short iron are forgiving
Cons: long irons arent forgiving as much, shaft weight, and not as much feel as expected
The Bottom Line: These clubs are great for people that have been playing for only a few years, but i wouldnt recommend to the folks that have a little more experience.

| natedowg's Full Review: Callaway Steelhead X-14 Stainless Steel Pro Series... |
I bought these clubs at a golf shop after trying out dozens of different types of clubs. Although these clubs werent THE best out there, they were the best value. these clubs have really worked for me, but as a golfer who is gradually getting better, it will be only a few years untill i will have to replace them.
My handicap is about 20 or so and i have only been playing for about 7 months. i bought these clubs maybe 2 months ago and can already see the ware apon them. Now even though it may not be much ware, it is still alot after only about 2 months. These clubs also seem alittle shaft heavy, but im not too sure if thats just me or Callaway's fault. The X-14's are very forgiving, and have I have a great sence of feel with them. I can control the ball to a slight degree, and can really put alot of back spin when i dont really want to. One thing that i have a real problem with (which almost everyone does) is the long irons. They werent as forgiving as i was hopeing for, but i can get the ball pretty far if i really really take my time.
Now the bargain that I got on these clubs was a much better value than others. For clubs made for the same degree of player, as myself, almost all clubs were at least $200 more. So these clubs are worth what you pay for them. I also like the head weight on these clubs. Not too much, and not too little. And last, but not least, I really like the standard grips that come with the clubs. Unlike most clubs, these come with grips that are quite soft, and i dont want to replace them.
