I had been debating on purchasing the Calphalon Mini Loaf Pans for awhile now. So, I finally decided to get them and try them out. I had all sorts of ideas for how I could use them. They haven't let me down yet.

Calphalon is by far superior to other brands that I have found. These mini loaf pans are very sturdy and heavy, considering their size. The surface is extremely non-stick and food easily slides out. Many other pans will claim to be non-stick, but will have areas that the food will stick to anyway. I haven't had a problem with these thus far and I've used them several times a week for about 2 months now.
These little loaf pans have so many uses. My family is quite picky and we all seem to like different things at different times. I make individual casseroles for dinner. I take orders like a short-order cook and make each casserole according to what my family wants at that time. It used to seem like this would take more effort, but I've got it down to a science now.
I make individual meat loaves often too. They take a lot less time than putting it all in one large pan.
They are also great when you are cooking with your kids. They love making their own meals or desserts. We make little cakes on the weekends. My daughter has a great time in the kitchen. She makes up the batter she wants for her cake, then pours it in the pan. We let it cook and when it is done and cooled, she is ready for a topping of her choice.
They are great for jello as well. We can make up our jello and pour it in each mini loaf pan. Each person likes different things in their jello. My daughter puts sprinkles in hers and I prefer fruit.
The pans are very durable. I have dropped them a few times and they haven't even dented, much less cracked/broken.
Cooking is very even all around the pans. When you pull a little cake out of a pan, they are a perfect color all over. The cakes are cooked through and come out really moist. Very little food stuff is left behind to clean.
Cleaning is easy. A little warm, soapy water and they are ready for use again. They are not dishwasher safe. Also, they recommend placing a towel between each pan if you are nesting them in a cabinet. This protects the non-stick surface from scratches.
I found this set at a local store for about $20 on sale. I think the regular price was $25.
I am very pleased with these loaf pans and all of the foods that I can create using them.
