Well I'm back again, and Calphalon has another satisfied customer here. I wrote an opinion on the Calphalon Baking sheet that I bought a few weeks back, and how satisfied I was with it. Since then I have been looking for Calphalon loaf pans also. I went back to the Bon-Ton store to see if their Calphalon loaf pans were on sale. But I couldn't find any on sale,and I was not about to pay $20.00 for one loaf pan. So 2 days later I was in Sear's looking for bed sheets, when I came across a large display rack of clearance items on bakeware and cookware. Upon pawing through several boxes, I came across 2 Calphalon large loaf pans, for only $9.99 a piece. I was now in second heaven. I found 2 large loaf pans for the price I would have paid for 1 loaf pan at the Bon-Ton store. I just couldn't believe my luck that day.

The large loaf pans are 5x10x3. Just the right size to make all my breads in. I like the larger size, but you can also find these Calphalon loaf pans in Medium sizes 4½x8½x2½ and 4 Mini loaf pans in sizes of 3x6x2.

I was really anxious to try out this loaf pan, so last night I decided to make one of my husbands favorite Christmas bread, made with Maraschino cherries, bananas and nuts. He had been in the hospital for a week now, with pneumonia, and did come home today. When he came home he was pleasantly surprised when he saw his favorite bread on the table.

This Christmas bread came out so great, was nice and moist, and slipped out of the pan very nicely with no trouble at all.

This Calphalon loaf pan has a superior non-stick baking surface. When I took the loaf pan out of the box, I was really surprised at how heavy they were. These pans are made of a heavy non-stick commercial quality gauge aluminum. I've found that the thicker, heavier gauge allows the pans to heat up quickly and evenly making it an ideal baking surface.

I really like the added rigidity of the steel rod reinforcing of the rims around the pan. My old aluminum loaf pans were made of a flimsy thin aluminum and did not have the superior non-stick surface and construction that these Calphalon loaf pans have.

The interior surface of each pan is finished with a coating system that allows foods to release easily and allows cleaning of the pans to clean very easily also. The interior has a nice dark gray coating of color. Even the exterior surface has the same gray coating for easy cleaning and care.

When your ready to bake in these loaf pans, always wash it out thoroughly first. You can grease and flour these pans if your recipe calls for it. I didn't have to flour my bread, and I had no problem releasing it from the pan.

Even though these pans have a superior non-stick coating, always use coated, or nylon utensils. Calphalon makes clean-up fast and easy, simply by using a sponge or dish cloth with hot soapy water. For any burned on stains caused by high temperatures, just use a little soft scrub on a sponge.

These Calphalon pans come with a lifetime warranty, and are also made in USA. Calphalon guarantees these loaf pans to be free from defects in material and workmanship. If found to be defective they will replace any item without charge, as long as it is used in a normal household and cared for according to the instructions that are included with these loaf pans.

As far as storing these Calphalon loaf pans, I just put them back into the heavy sturdy cardboard box that they came in and store them in my cabinet along with my other bakeware.

I'm really happy with these 2 Calphalon Loaf Pans, and if they hold up as well as I think they will, I will purchase some new Calphalon cake pans and muffin pans also. My bakeware pans are really old now and have been used so much over the past years, that they really need to be replaced.

Well I do have an Anniversary coming up in November, and there is nothing that I really want. Well, maybe a night out for dinner would be nice and maybe some Roses. Of course a few more of these super Calphalon Bakeware Pans wouldn't hurt either. With Christmas right around the corner, maybe I will get lucky and my kids will buy some for me. I guess I'll have to start throwing some hints around now.
