Pros: BIG pack - holds a lot of water and gear
Cons: I think it's a little pricey
The Bottom Line: If you need a lot of water on hand, and a good amount of pack space as well, the H.A.W.G. is for you.

This pack is great. I live in Arizona and ride a motorcycle. I bought this pack when my girlfriend and I rode out to San Diego. Going across the desert in August, we needed enough water for both of us. The HAWG was plenty. The water even stayed fairly cold, even though the outside temperature was around 107. There was enough room in the pack for most of my stuff for the weekend. (She brought her own backpack for clothes and stuff - you know how most women pack - no offense, but it's true). I had originally thought I would buy just the small Camelback, but I really liked the idea of having a good-sized backpack with it.
I use the pack regularly for everything. Most of the time I won't completely fill the 100 oz of water - usually I'll only fill it a third to a half full, depending on how far I'm going or what I'm doing. Saves on weight, but it's nice to have the extra leeway for filling it if I need it.
The "bite" mouthpiece is great - and with the placement of the retainer rings on the pack's shoulder straps, I can easily grab the hose and drink with my helmet on, without needing to slow down or stop. The hose is long enough for my girlfriend to share. The shoulder straps are comfortable, although when it's completely filled, it is rather heavy, and the straps could use a bit more padding.
The design is well-thought out. I also like the mesh outside pocket for getting to things without having to unzip. Very convenient when you're riding.
I thought the $95 price tag was a bit steep, but I suppose we're paying for the design and advertising. It is a well-made pack, and I expect it to last for many years.
