I use a lot of Campbell’s Cream of Chicken Soup. I normally purchase it in the 10.75 ounce can as that is what is called for in most recipes. I have never eaten just plain Cream of Chicken Soup but have used it in many soups, sauces and casseroles.
Cream of Chicken Soup is made by Campbell’s which is a name I know and trust when it comes to buying soups. The cans now come with a flip top lid which I love. I have a can opener on my counter top but I prefer the flip top lids over ones that you need to open with a can opener any day.
Cream of Chicken Soup is a thick creamy soup. It has bits of chicken meat in it. You can cook it as is or add milk or water, if eating plain.
Cream of Chicken Soup comes in a few varieties there is regular Cream of Chicken Soup, 98% fat free and a healthy request variety which has less sodium. So you can get Cream of Chicken Soup in a regular version, low fat and low sodium forms.
The ingredients in Cream of Chicken Soup are: Chicken stock, Wheat flour, chicken meat, food starch, cream, salt, sweet cream buttermilk powder, chicken , separated chicken, monosodium glutamate, yeast extract, soy protein concentrate, cottonseed and soybean, potassium chloride, disodium insonate, disodium guanylate, spice extract, soy protein isolate, sodium phosphates, chicken flavor, butter cream powder, enzyme modified butter, nonfat dry milk, lipolyzed buttermilk, lipolyzed butter oil, lactic acid, butter flavor, butter, and acetic acid.

Campbell’s Soup comes in different size cans. They come in 10.75 ounce cans and the family size 26 ounce can. I keep both varieties in my cupboard.
You can purchase Cream of Chicken Soup at most grocery stores, convenience stores, stores like Wal-Mart and Kmart and online. I usually wait until it goes on sale for a dollar a can and then I stock up. Campbell’s often puts coupons in the Sunday paper. So if you wait until it goes on sale and use a coupon, I can usually get it for about fifty cents a can.
I always keep numerous cans of Cream of Chicken Soup on hand as I use it in lots of different ways. I have used it to make chicken noodle soup, different chicken casseroles, sauce on top of cooked chicken and many other ways. I think the soup is tasty in many recipes. Some think the salt content is high but when I use it in other recipes, I omit any additional salt and I don’t seem to notice.
