If you're anything like me, when you camp, you do not do it Grizzly-Adams-Style. Camping for a week means 15 different outfits, 5 books, 10 magazines, a laptop, iPod, portable dvd player, tons of bedding, tons of hair products, 3 pairs of shoes, the list goes on and on....I never travel light, and I don't let the wilderness stop me, either!! Which is why an awesome, treasured product like Camping Closet from Camping Logic is something one should never camp without!!

The Camping Closet is a sturdy, water-resistant-vinyl, 6-compartment, collapsible, easy-to-pop-open portable closet so that happy campers do not have to live out of a smashed duffel bag, or suitcase, but rather be organized, comfortable and upscale as you sit around the campfire! This is more than just a few shelves, it can hold many items on the side with the pockets, and even a storage pocket on the back of the closet for books, pamphlets, magazines, notebooks, etc...You can put your keys safely in there as to not lose them, loose change, wallets, iPods or jewelry.

I love the fact that it is water resistant because many times when in a tent, the dew or moisture can set in, and this closet protects it from possible mildew or dampness. You can set this up basically anywhere, whether it is in the trunk of a truck/SUV, inside a tent or cabin, or even outside an RV or camper if you want to store toys, cooking tools or shoes. 

I do wish that the compartments/shelves were a bit larger and deeper, and maybe more than 6, because with a family of four it can be hard to limit yourself to 1 1/2 shelves, or keep it tidy for that matter, but the pros outweighs the cons of that, hands down. I love that it was a cover that you easily roll down when not in use, which is good for privacy, possible bugs or rain. 

It is lightweight and easy to cart with you, you just fold it up and unfold when ready to use. It is sturdy and does not tilt or seem to have a weight limit. It is 25 x 25 x 15 inches (W x H x D) in size no need to re-pack if you want to just take it back home with the contents still inside! It comes in the shade of black and is pretty attractive compared to the alternative, which is to have things all over the place! It totally adds to the atmosphere of being in nature while you have your items tucked out of sight!

If you have a large family, or are camping in a cabin, you might want to purchase more than one so that there is no fighting over space, or something getting messed up or mixed up. The camping closet can fit almost anywhere, along the walls are usually the best places. I don't remember exactly how much I paid for this, it was under $50 at a local sporting goods store, so places like Dicks Sporting Goods, Ganders, Sports Authority or REI may have it in stock or you can find them online!

Overall, I love my camping closet, it is convenient, it has amble storage space for everyone's belongings that they do not want lost or wrinkled, and it is great for many vacations besides camping...we have taken this on a boat trip and even use it in our 'regular' closet when not in use on a vacay, it makes a great magazine rack!
