Romilayu's Full Review: Canon Elph Z3 APS Film Camera
The Canon Elph Z3 is one of the smallest film cameras out there. It is SUPER sleek and stylish with it's brushed aluminum casing and indiglo backlighting on the menu. It comes with a plush leather carrying case that can attach to you belt. It also has a wrist strap that you may use.
Uber-cool styling aside, the Elph has all the functions and features to back up all the flashy exterior. To begin with, the viewfinder is unique. The size of the viewfinder actual changes according to which picture you wish to take. Most viewfinders for APS cameras have all three picture sizes outlined in the single window and you have to pick out the picture among a maze of lines. The Elph Z3 blocks out everything except exactly what will appear in the picture you are about to take.
Full fledged zoom that takes you up close to the action.
There are also many flash options. A night time setting, as well as a red-eye reducer, and even the option to turn it off make for a easy lighting options.
There is also an auto-focus function on the shoot button. Hold the shutter button down half-way and the camera focuses on whatever is in the viewfinder. You can then wait for the crucial moment to finish depressing the button and snap the picture already focused.
There is a multiple print option as well. IF you want multiple prints of a certain picture all you have to do is select this option and enter the number, up to 10, and the camera will print that many copies.
Lastly there is a neat little function that allows you to print captions on the pictures in different languages. Congratulations, Happy Birthday, Season's Greetings, etc. Not the most hig tech thing, but cool none the less. There is also an adjustable time/date stamp function.
There are more features that I'm sure I'm neglecting, but the camera is so packed full that it's hard to get them all. It is a great, sturdy camera with sexy styling and Macguyver functionality. Don't miss it!
