Pros: wonderfully small, pictures as good as 35mm, 3 different sizes with ease
Cons: MAY not take as good of shots in the dark, not a lot of zoom
The Bottom Line: Because of the size, ease, convenience, and quality of the pictures I am quite pleased with this camera and happy that I purchased it...
kimmyr11's Full Review: Canon Elph Z3 APS Film Camera
On my last vacation I got so tired of lugging around a big camera that I did not take many pictures... Saw this camera and fell in love with it on sight! However, after reading some reviews regarding the older versions of the APS cameras I became a bit concerned... I shot approximately one roll; inside, out, close, far to see how it did. Took it into the one hour photo (more and more places are developing it) along with 2 rolls of 35mm. Comparing them side by side I saw NO difference which was somewhat surprising considering what I had read... Also, it was only approximately $2.00 more per roll to have developed which I thought was reasonable considering all of the benefits....
The only drawback was the zoom, which I decided was worth the trade off since now I do not have to lug a big camera around my neck anymore... I did take one picture in the early evening hours that did not turn out as well as the others, however, I see that they have 1000 speed film in the APS so hopefully that will take care of that problem..
Overall, I would recommend this camera for an everyday camera and for those who do not wish to have their vacations weighed down with equipment....
