This printer is easily the best photo printer on the market so far. The quality of the photo printing is second to none. For the digital photographers amongst us, this is the printer for you. It is Pictbridge compatible, which means you can plug your camera straight into the printer and print off your photos direct without the need of having to go via your computer. A great feature.

Other features include duplex printing. A great paper saver and perfect for producing booklets, leaflets and the like.

For a professional quality printing finish, this printer is definitely for you. I love it and it is the best printer that I have had the pleasure of owning so far.

Ink usage is fair. Whilst the ink is expensive, it lasts for sometime. I have managed to print around 30 to 40 photographs at high quality on A4 (letter) size in addition to printing around hundred pages of plain text without colour. I believe this is good value for money.

It connects to your computer via USB 2.0 highspeed cable. Installing it is a very simple process using the CD supplied. Following the on screen instructions presented no problems and the printed literature that accompanies the printer is well written.

Technical specifications of this amazing printer include a resolution of 9600 x 2400 psi which equates to a very high qualilty photo finish. It has two paper trays and an attachment that even allows you to print directly on CD/DVD. Another fantastic feature. The autosheet feeder holds up to 150 sheets of paper. It allows for borderless printing and takes approximately 51 seconds to print a standard 4x6 size photo. Not bad eh??

The printer boasts chromalife system for long lasting photo prints. Obviously I cant vouch for this yet but I have every confidence in the product.

I have been able to use all different types of quality paper, including non canon products without any significant impact on print quality.

The ink system is economical and does minimize ink wastage. There are 5 print cartridges required, cyan, magenta, yellow, and two black cartridges.

The software that comes with this printer is very easy to use and for basic photo editing does the job just as you would expect. It comes with a useful piece of software called easy webprint which allows you to print pages directly from the web without the need to mess around with margins and to print both sides without having to work out complicated page layouts.

When printing, it is not very noisy and the size is not too excessive so fits nicely on your desk or worktop.

I would certainly recommend this printer to anyone that wants a reasonably priced good photo quality printer.
