| mattgordon's Full Review: Canon imageRUNNER® C5800 Color Copier |
Color imaging, copying and/or printing is available over a broad range of "copiers" nowadays, and the iRC5800 is a fine example of color-enabled devices for situations where a bunch of B&W pages are needed, with the need for occasional, high quality color at a low per page cost.
This mid-range print engine offers the option to copy OR print (with optional network interface card) at up to 58 B&W images per minute, OR 16 full-color images per minute.
Impressive 4,150 paper supply, 100 page standard document feeder, AND standard duplexer make this unit ideal for workgroups of numerous people, as over 200,000 impression per month can be safely produced on this device without fear of over-working or over-taxing it.
It uses Canon's long-life silicon-based photoconducor or "drum", which helps keep B&W page costs low, as well as Canon's mono-component imaging technology.
Add optional Super G3 faxing, and "Universal-Send" functionality, and the iRC5800 can easily accomodate the business communications needs of many users, from copy, print, and scan functions...to e-mail, scan to server, fax, and even document storage using the standard mailboxes to scan or print frequently reproduced documents into, for easy retrieval and reproduction later. An all in one? Yes, in every sense of the word.
