| moc426's Full Review: Canon CanoScan N1220U Flatbed Scanner |
Very nice scanner, very slim and takes up little space. This scanner can be purchased at $160 at buy.com, its retail price is $199 which you find it everywhere at that price. I was able to get it for $136. Scanner can do a max. resolution of 1200x2400 dpi at 42 bit color. Very impressive scanning resolutions for a great price. And it has a nice metalic silver finish.
The good:
The scanner is USB and also powered by the USB (includes a USB cable). It can scan at up to 1200x2400 dpi at 42 bit(over 4 trillion colors). It is a little over an inch high and has what they call their Z-lid expansion top which is for books, this is better than HP scanners method for books or bulky items, which basically is the whole scanner top is removed. It weights 3.3 lbs!!! And its compatible with mac and windows (including windows 2000). It also has a one touch button which loads up the scan software, you can also set this button to load any application to scan such as photoshop.
The bad:
Hmmm, I can't say anything here. I haven't found anything bad about this scanner.
Overall:
Excellent buy, worth the price and a great piece of equipment.
