| tdousay's Full Review: Canon CanoScan N670U Flatbed Scanner |
As an Instructional Design Specialist, I am constantly scanning in figures and designs to insert into our materials. I approached my boss with a comparison print out on the N670U a few months ago and requested to purchase it.
Within the first week, I was the envy of the office. Management was happy that it was under $100. My colleagues preferred to scan their documents at my machine because it was quick and easy.
Now that we're expanding our operations, I recommend new N670U's for our new employees. In the last week, we have bought 4 N670U's and as the new employees come in, they are impressed with the scanners.
It does come with a large bundle of software that most people will not use or will find frustrating to learn. However, it does have OmniPage Pro 9.0 for it's OCR software. By far, this is one of the better packages on the market. The "Scan Gear" software to preview and scan is easy to use and have had no problems with software conflicts.
It comes with one easy to use USB cable and has a "trendy" look to the packaging.
