Our company has a service agreement with IKON Office Solutions. We have been lightly using this brand-new machine for two months now and have had a lot of issues with it. We talked to one of our other offices and found out they have had lots of problems also. They have had their machine for over a year and have hit the 200,000+ copy mark.
The bottom line is the machine is too sensitive. There is a dial that must be set to the paper size you have loaded or the machine won't print. This dial can easily giggle. We have had problems with our bypass tray, causing many of the jams we've had to take time to undo. Again, if you don't have everything lined up just so, the machine complains. It also informs us of residue on the glass quite often when there doesn't appear to be any.
Another issue is that since this machine is a copier/printer/fax unit, if one component goes down, sometimes you lose the ability to perform the other functions also. It's very convenient to have the scanning and faxing capabilities included in the machine and they work fine.
At this point, I would not recommend this machine. We are heading into a busy period and we are highly concerned about the machine's performance.
