I purchased this camera last year while in the market for a new digital camera. My Father in law had the older version that was the 6.3 megapixel and I loved his camera. When I saw this one, I fell in love with it. It's very easy to use, whether you are a beginner or whether you are a pro. There are so many features to this camera that it's hard to use them all! I still have many things I need to learn about this camera.
For beginners, it is just a point and shoot. The camera does the focusing for you and you just have to push the button. This has given us really great pictures at every family gathering and anywhere we go. There are several options on the camera to change the lighting if you are shooting indoors or outdoors, and it's easy to get to with just the push of one button. There are many features to this great camera as well. You are able to change the type of picture you are shooting, such as face, mountain, flower, sports, night shot, and flash free. I would recommend purchasing a tripod if you use the flash free as any movement on the camera can make your image blurry. The night shot is the same way. There is also a timer on this camera for you to hit the button and get into position. That is a nice feature to have! I have been able to do several family photos with this feature. You can also purchase remotes to use as well.
I would highly recommend this camera to anybody in the market for a great quality Digital camera. The ability to change lenses is a great feature and the pictures always turn out crystal clear!
