Cheap lens that shows its cheapness

Pros: Cheap, lightweight lens that you never need worry about damaging because it's so cheap.

Cons: Poor focus, poor chromatic aberration, no hood

This came with my XT. I replaced it as soon as possible because it's such a horrid lens. Nothing comes out sharp. It's barely acceptable for most purposes but for anything decent - forget it.

Many claim to have taken sharp photos with the lens stopped down to f8 or f16. My experience is that's not really possible unless you're using a tripod. I replaced mine with a Tamron 28-75 and the difference is night and day. The Tamron's so sharp I could cut myself on the photos. I wish the same could be said for this lens. At best it's fuzzy.
