No offense but your claims don't match with your nearly juvenile attitude: "So, goodbye, good lucky. No more time will be wasted here for me.. I lead to full a life, have too much fun with my businesses and writing my 4th book."

While I don't know any of your other work (as you choose to be anonymous), but I can tell that you have at least some good input. As it shows in your rebuttal: "... by getting dust on your sensor. One tiny minute speck magnifies to pencil eraser size or bigger when you have your lenses stopped down." All info that should be in your review instead of a long list of badly formatted pasted specs!

I believe you that for you "... and the crown [you] run with, specs do matter" (as they do for me), but you certainly wouldn't buy a camera just because it has 10 buttons while the other has only 5 without understanding what the extra 5 button do and if they're placed well and easy to use. Again, you apparently know the stuff, but it doesn't show in your review. And that's all that's being argued.

You may be right that your "time is better spent anyplace but here", given that salary figure you were throwing out.

PS: You mention resolution as one of the three key features you look for but sold a 12.8 MPx camera (after 2 shots?) for a 10.1 MPx while arguing that resolution matters for your clients?

If you've ever been heavily involved in digital photography-especially if you have a few lenses that you need or want to use you will IMMEDIATELY appreciate the fact that your shooting day won't be in jeopardy by getting dust on your sensor. One tiny minute speck magnifies to pencil eraser size or bigger when you have your lenses stopped down.

I purchased 8 more 40D's today online I am glad they are starting to be readily available and getting praise everywhere.

And yes,.to me and the crown I run with, specs do matter...If you are a Canon user, getting around the site to even find specs can be tedious.

So,goodbye, good lucky. No more time will be wasted here for me.. I lead to full a life, have too much fun with my businesses and writing my 4th book.

My time is better spent anyplace but here.

You wrote: "The specs of this camera ARE very pertinent as they ahve addressed a few issues that have been lacking in previous Canon EOS prosumer models. Especially the dust sensor cleaning. This makes for a great travel camera(I get paid big bucks to travel on shoots) and you can't bring any of the liquid sensor cleaner chemicals. So,with less dust to consider,it makes for better quality images and many many hours you won't need in front of the computer cloning the spots out. In addition,6.5 FPS is about double of previous models. With this you multiply your chances to 'Get the shot'."

See, this is the stuff I am talking about. If I want a simple copy of Canon's specs page, I would go there simply for accuracy reasons. No offense, but I don't trust anybody's cut'n'paste abilities when deciding on spending $1500. However, the first part is perfectly fine and your response shows that you understand the importance of certain feature. Does anybody care if it has dust removal? Maybe, but everybody wants to know if/how it works. Quite a difference. Anyway, don't leave, but take a step back and look at your review again. Maybe it will become clearer.

Btw, on those other reviews you mentioned did you simply copy Canon's spec sheet as well? Probably not.

Hmmm.In one review I am chided for not giving enough specs and in another when I give specs,I'm chided for not elaborating more.

The specs of this camera ARE very pertinent as they ahve addressed a few issues that have been lacking in previous Canon EOS prosumer models. Especially the dust sensor cleaning. This makes for a great travel camera(I get paid big bucks to travel on shoots) and you can't bring any of the liquid sensor cleaner chemicals. In addition,6.5 FPS is about double of previous models. With this you multiply your chances to 'Get the shot' .

In addition to my photography career with studios in 3 major cities,I also write syndicated columns.
This will be my last review as I obviously do not communicate well here.

I agree with Regina, and suggest to revise. You apparently care about the spec, but those can be drawn from any canon website etc. and don't add much to your review. How about embellishing on your opinion about certain features/specs and how they affect your photography?

Although I'm not a camera review expert, this review is too heavy on the "specs" and too light on the personal experiences. I recently purchased the 30D and was dismayed when I saw that the 40D came out, but your review still doesn't help me decide whether or not the 40D is a better camera other than the 10.5mpx and no dust!

Thanks,

Regina
