The Canon 50D is a great action camera and great professional/ semi-professional camera.  It is nice looking.  It is big and abit heavy but works well on a tripod.  Easy to focus and the auto focus is a wonderful feature, especially in shots of low light where it is hard to focus manually.  It also takes great shots without the flash.   This camera is quite easy to use.  The features are many as with any professional camera.  I don't like how the lens slides out of position if aiming down at a subject.  It is also quite heavy and the strap weighs hard on your neck.  The LCD screen is large.  It is durable, having been knocked around abit, it shows no wear and works fine.  The warranty is good also.  It has a locking feature that allows you to lock the picture's that you want to save in the camera.  This feature is confusing and I have found no way to unlock the photos so they are in there taking up room.  Overall it is a fun to use camera, even for the novice.  Offers great resolution and picture quality.  Abit spendy but worth it in the long run,  offering the novice user the option to improve picture taking skills without upgrading to a different camera.
