After much research into Canon digital SLR products I decided on the Canon EOS 7D. It has been an invaluable purchase and thoroughly tested in many conditions. My Canon 7D has the 28-135mm lens which has proven to be a versatile lens. This DSLR is easy to learn to use and has many useful functions. Portrait, Landscape, Faithful and other settings are easy to access. Image quality is extremely good with and without use of a tripod. The 7D is an 18 megapixel DSLR. It has spot metering or evaluative, partial and centre weighted metering. The screen size is suitable for on the spot review of pictures. The 7D uses the Compact Flash cards which are still quite readily available. The battery usage is extremely good even when using the flash frequently. This camera has an inbuilt pop-up flash, that can be automatic or manually set. Battery recharging time is suitable. The 7D has a sturdy camera body which can take a range of Canon lenses. This camera has self timing capacity. It has video function also. There is an inbuilt sensor cleaning function. The EOS 7D is suitable for the amateur or the professional and has had many positive reports from other photography enthusiasts I have met. It is a highly recommended camera.
