jro26's Full Review: Canon Elph LT APS Film Camera
This is the coolest camera that I have ever owned. I have always bought those cheapo $30 cameras. But when went to Minnesota and Wisconsin for the Ozzfest we forgot a camera. So we were in Target and were just going to buy a couple disposable cameras until I spotted the Canon.
It was so tiny, perfect to fit in your pocket, watch out easy to lose, so I though about getting it. And after looking at all of the things that it had to offer and I made sure that the batteries didn't cost a billion dollars and it was only $10.00. So I got the camera, battery, and 3 rolls of Kodak film for under $100.00. It had the Advance Photo System with drop in loading which I think is one of the best features since you don't have to worry about exposing too much of the film when you are loading it or if you have it in the wrong way. With this camera the film only goes in one way and that is all that you have to do.
The next best thing is that you can choose from 3 different sizes of pictures. Classic, Panoramic, and Wide angle. When I took panoramic pictures of the stage in WI they turned out so good. The Ozzfest was the ultimate test for this camera. It was raining, very cloudy, getting dark and people everywhere so it was one of those point and click situations. It was really easy to figure out how to use everything on the camera, probably 20 minutes and I was set. The pictures came back and it didn't even look like it was raining and I thought you wouldn't be able to make out anyone on the stage but you could.
Another great feature is that it puts the date on for you on the front or the back or even both. This part is so cool, you can put sayings on your pictures. Mine came with these 5: I love you, Thank you, Season's Greetings, Happy Birthday, Congratulations. And you can also put it in a different language if you wanted to so you could like write Je'Taime which is I love you in french...so cool!
You can pick from some great colors. I got the Blue metallic color.
It has red eye reduction and I think that it really works since I haven't even had one picture where someone had red eyes. Auto focus so you don't have to mess with any of that. It has auto film advance and rewind and it goes really fast.
You have to admit this is great, I mean it weighs 4.1 ounces!! So so tiny. I love this camera and hope that it never breaks becuase I don't want to have to find another one that has all of this great stuff in such a little package...4.1 ounces, I can't beleive that.
