This is the "all metal camera". Solid stainless steel construction. It's no bigger than a credit card in its dimensions. Feels cool, looks cool, and performs great. It's aspheric all glass lens is superb and performs flawlessly. It's zoom is equivalent of 35 mm-70 mm in 35 mm format. I have got some great super sharp shots with phenomenal color accuracy.
This is the original elph that took the world of APS by storm. Now, Canon has brought too many elph cameras. It's too confusing and the name has been overused many times over.
One problem I have noticed is with the pop flash. There will be times when you forget to shut the camera off and if you pop the camera in your pocket with the flash still up, it's likely to get caught with your clothing. The problem with this is that the flash spring becomes pulled and when you shut the camera off, the flash doesn't flush close any more.
Besides that, it's a great camera and takes great pictures.
I am a camera buff and own all kinds of cameras, including, Nikon, Olympus,Canon, Yashica, Pentax, Minolta, etc. This camera will not only stay permanently in my collection but will also accompany me in all my travels.
