| HannaHanson's Full Review: Canon Elph 240 APS Film Camera |
I must admit, this has been a handy camera that has not given me any problems yet. When anyone ever sees the ELPH, they marvel at the size. I can easily fit it into my back pocket, in my purse, or a small pocket of my backpack. It's compact, and even a simpleton (like me) can use this camera. A definite point and shoot. It has automatic focus, and won't take the picture unless clarity is ensured. It has one small button to press to take the picture. When someone ever asks "Is it this button right here?" I always respond, "Do you see any other button." Okay, so I'm not the nicest person, but this is the nicest camera I have ever owned.
I have only one complaint. Advantix...is it really worth it? Personally, its more expensive film and developing, and there are no real benefits to the Advantix system. My advice is this: if you think you are going to make reprints all the time, Advantix is worth it. Advantix organizes the pictures very well, and makes it a lot easier to find what you are looking for to make reprints. Advantix claims that there is a huge benefit concerning having three different picture sizes. That claim is true in a sense, but really a crock. Advantix frames the pictures, but its truly all the same size. Panoramic merely cuts the top off the true picture, and expands it in film developing. It really doesn't add anymore scenery than a classic picture size. I would stick to mostly classic pictures - they are the cheapest.
