The Canon GL-2 sets the standard for pro-sumer level digital video equipment. With the introduction of level meters, more pixels per CCD, and many more innovations, Canon improved on the already impressive GL-1. Canon's pixel shift technology combined with the new CCD's gives an unrivaled image quality in it's class.

The attached microphone is an impressive performer when it comes to even the most delicate and sensitive sounds. The GL-2 allows many adjustments that are easy to use and easy to understand. Not only does the camera function reliably and without fail but it also is a rugged and tough performer in even the most adverse conditions.

The lens on the GL-2 is a masterpiece in it's self. It offers a clear and consistent image every time. With so many choices out there for pro-sumer level cameras the GL-2 stands out as not only being the best value but also the most reliable and consistent performer. Tucked away nicely inside it's well designed body is a feature packed performer worthy of competition.

Not to be left out is the great frame mode included on the GL-2. At 30 frames per second it offers a much better image and quality than the Sony products in the same class. While frame mode may not be important to the weekend soccer mom it should be essential to the upcoming digital film genius or the soon to be famous indy filmmaker.

All in all the GL-2 is a powerhouse of features and design that not only is a consistent and reliable performer but an incredible value.
