Re: Copying capability - question (Reply to this comment)

I checked it out and found the same issue. I only use copy for occasional quick non critical items so I never noticed this. It misses a very small area on the left side facing of the page. It only occurs during copy, the scans are edge to edge. I can find no setting to correct this. Setting the copy to 99% will get the whole page, but will also increase the other borders and slightly decrease the copied image size. I don't know if this is an issue with other all-in-ones. This issue is unimportant to me, but if copies are critical for you this printer might not be your best choice.

Copying capability - question (Reply to this comment)
by smgerber
I visited Staples today and had a good look-see at this machine after reading your positive review.

I did a test copy of a full 8.5x11 color sheet and wasn't sure about the results. Clearly I did not read any manuals on how to set up the machine for a copy, but the copy was in a draft-looking mode and like most printers had an unprinted area along one 8.5" edge of about .5 inch. I tried to do a quick machine setup to tell it to "fit to paper" and the result was that more of the original fit but still not all of it.

Can you please tell me what I should have done in order to use the copy feature and have a copy look as near the original as possible, like fitting on the paper and printing in near photo mode (considering of course that I was using plain paper).

Quality copying is important to me and I figured if it prints great from a PC program, there were probably copy settings I didn't know about.

Thanks for a complete review and, in advance, for any answer to this concern of mine.
