Pros: worked good while it lasted
Cons: died too soon. It wasn't used that often.
The Bottom Line: I'd buy it but with extended warranty. Start saving to replace it. Or maybe yours will last longer. I just know I won't buy a HP. recommend but with warning

Bought Canon mp780 Feb. '06. worked very well till today Gets error code 6A00 Cannon support has much to be desired. Only line useless and call TOLL free # will cost you $9.95. to bring it to the nearest repair shop. $100 minimum there. So the land fill will git this. It should last longer than 1 1/2 years. I do have many ink cart. left over, so I guess I will have to buy another Canon. Of course I have had 2 HP's that didn't last as long as this one and ink cost much more, and the print quality wasn't as good. My other problem was the paper feeder I was constanly straighting the paper to print square. Faxing was very good too. I never tried printing on both sides, so can't review that. But all in all it was good till it died.
Did print photos from a camera with it that worked well and also copied papers and photos to computer which worked very well. I did not use the other functions that came with it on the CD. I believe it should give you a full manual instead of a Quick start guide and if you need help you most use the CD or down load it to computer. I guess I will buy another, due to having many extra ink, and it worked well til this problem, maybe I will buy an extended warranty this time. Although I can't put it in for repair and have to wait weeks to get it back.
