I was in the market for a new inexpensive camera. I purchased the Canon Powershot SD1300 IS digital camera because of the price, the look ,and feel. The fact that it was a Canon made me want to purchase it because I've heard so many great comments about canon products and I typically buy other products from canon. When I took it home, I was excited because to me I felt like I was getting a really great deal on this camera. I too it out of the box and everything was going smoothly. I took a few pictures and even hooked it up to my computer to edit some photos. Well about a day later I went to turn on my camera and low and behold I get an error message. It told me that my shutter was malfunctioning and then shut right off! I was getting kind of worried trying to think back if I did anything wrong to my camera in a days time. Well turns out I did not. I did a search on the computer for the Canon Powershot SD1300 IS to see if others were having the same problem as I did. What do you know? They're were lots of people with the same problems. They suggested to bang it, whack it and the like but I felt like I shouldn't have to do all that to a camera I just bought. So took it right back to the store and got my money back and opted out for a replacement one.
