The Bottom Line: This is an excellent camera for those who want a small camera that can hold it's own to the larger ones.

The Canon Digital ELPH SD400 is simply one of the best tiny cameras available. My family and I have been buying ELPH's from Canon since they were still offered in APS film versions. The key selling point about this camera is it's size and Canon keeps making it smaller, any of the ELPH's will fit in your shirt pocket or if you like to keep it in your pants pocket it won't make you feel like your pocket is bulging. The SD400's screen is 2.0 inches which is a vast improvement over previous ELPH models but doesn't compare to the newer 2007-2008 model ELPH's screens which take up nearly the whole back of the camera. The battery life on the SD400 is excellent, I don't use the camera that often but it still holds a charge even after a few months of not being used, however when you are using it, the camera will last you all day on a vacation or a busy picture taking day, just be sure to charge it at night. Features-wise the camera is pretty standard for a digital camera, it offers different lighting settings but I can't really tell the difference between them. One thing I wish this camera did is that it could take better pictures of things in motion.
